MPEG Recorder is a real time recorder and compressor of audio and video for Windows platforms, that uses MFC, DirectX, FFMPEG and MPEG4IP.
MPEG Recorder can generate AVI and MP4 files, and also broadcast sound and image using streams, via the Apple Darwin server.
Among the main features of MPEG Recorder, you will find: the chance to capture audio from a sound card, using Microsoft Direct-X, capture video from a TV card or webcam, compress audio in MP3 (MPEG-1 layer 3) or AAC formats using Lame and FAAC codifiers respectively, compress video to MPEG-4 (XVid/DivX) and it lets you program a recording of audio or video automatically.
